Competition or co-operation?

Should children be raised to co-operate or to compete?

To be competitive and cooperative, these are the main two basis to make our children in the future. Also, this depends on the ways of the parents in how to raise their children. In this essay, I am going to write about my opinion which is raising children to be cooperative is better than competitive.

First I will begin with the arguments which in favor of competition. The first argument is that encorging children to be competitive are very good because they will get high marks in the exam and get great jobs in the future. Another argument is that children, when they become competitive, will not accept loss therefore, they will be good leaders and creative persons. For example, in the sport the competitive types will work very hard and exercise very day to win the game.

On the other hand, I will talk about the reasons why I prefer raising children in a co- operative way. The first reason is that no one can live alone so they need to help each other. Teamwork is very important for the children to improve their skills in communication. Finally, teaching the children to co-operation with each other will make them very helpful and increase their self confidence.

In conclusion, both competition and co-operation are very important for children. Also, it will help them to play a great role in their successful life.
