Traffic Congestion

Abu Dhabi is a large city. It is the capital of the UAE. In all cities in the world there are traffic and parking problems.The main cause is the population has improved. This is the first cause for traffic and parking problems.

In Abu Dhabi every home has more than one car. The second cause is economic expansion. There are more marketable vehicles .Also, the weather in summer is not helping people to use the cycles for transport. Finally, parking is the big cause of traffic congestion. There are no more parking spaces for people to park their cars.

On the other hand, the solutions for these problems are as follows. Make sure each building has adequate parking. Each apartment should have parking. Also, improving public transport will help the government to solve the problem. For example increase the number of buses or build a metro to decrease the number of car users. One solution is to increase the age of license holders. In Abu Dhabi most accidents involve young people aged 18 to 24. Finally, the last solution is to improve the obtainable road system. Like build more bridges, overpasses and underpasses.

All in all, the main problem is the parking. The best solution is to build the parking buildings. Also, improve the public transport like raise the number of buses and build a metro, although I think a metro will cost more and buses are the best idea to solve the problems.
